I'm glad you had a good time out here and that the generally cooperative weather actually cooperated last week. I was out of town but by all reports Saturday was a sunny ol' SoCal beach day.
And yeah, I forgot to mention, "bike path" is something of a broad spectrum catch-all around here. Everything and everyone uses it as they see fit, in varying degrees and measures of speed, spatial awareness, and common courtesy. But hey, what's a day in LA without getting irate at the traffic?
