BTW: I cut my cycling teeth roaming the regional blacktop, usually without traffic during the workday, and especially the Limuru road from Rosslyn to Limuru and beyond, and sometimes back (forget route) along Rift VAlley road toward airport, then back to L Road north to Rosslyn; long Sunday afternoon rides at 5 or 6 k feet in the equatorial sun; beautiful blue skies. Never occurred to me to take food or water! First a Raleigh Sports,, then home built drop barred frankenbikes, then a "sophisticated" Raleigh half stepped 10 speed Sprite.
