Yeah, I like it better, too. Finding a tape to compliment the Caramel paint is
challenging!

Steve P. referred me to this stuff--it's (ahem) HandleBra brand, and
unfortunate name aside, it seems like great stuff so far:

Mine is the dark brown, which matches the worn Honey Brooks about perfectly.

It was so wet here saturday that I focused on chores to free up more time for
sunday which was still sketchy but less wet. This week's gonna be sunny til
the weekend when of course, more rain, colder temps, some snow too...B-(

I like the bike's look in brown trim more than the prior black. Really came out
nicely. Which bar tape did you use? Looks like you had a real meander on your
country bike.

It is still breezy down here in AL too. Yesterday was drier than Saturday, no
Shower's Pass jacket needed, but I did wear (happily) a Gore windproof over a
wool blend jersey. The jersey, btw is a favorite, the 2008 Canari Massif, now
on sale here:
http://wheelworld.com/product/canari-08-massif-wool-jersey-6197.htm) We rode a
flatter course than Saturday, but pulled harder into the wind. My legs are
talking to me this morning. I think they're asking, "Where's that Advil?"

Got out briefly on the Saluki sunday--been itching to try the the new stuff I
installed over the winter: new Berthoud stainless steel fenders with new VO
leather mudflap and U.S. made leather bartape.

I headed down the Lansing River trail but even the finest fenders won't protect
you from Spring time Red Cedar River levels! (that's the trail right behind me
in this pic)
