My sincere thanks to you all for your comments. I think I'll go ahead with the purchase. In the short term, I'll put kool stop pads on the Tektros and see how they feel. The consensus seems to be that the Paul's are a slight step up in power, but are more work to set up (fine with me) and vastly more expensive.
