Crossing a 4-lane, 50 mph boulevard on the bike path, I was a bit too eager and misjudged my aim for the handicapped cutout on the opposite sidewalk. Bam! I bent the fork back enough to easily see the difference in angle, but strangely, not only were top and down tube unaffected, but I didn't even pinch flat, let along bend a rim -- and I was riding 22 mm actual 571 bcd Conti Grands Prix. I made it the remaining 10 miles home in the increasing darkness; the bike felt odd but I had no problem riding it. Rivendell very courteously arranged a discounted replacement fork by Curt Goodrich. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
