The step through really shines if and when you're using a rear seat, but out of the seat pedal mashing with the rear childed Monster Rosco is unadvisable. Out of the saddle pedal stompage is unadvisable with a kid out back on a 65 Clem H as well, but considerably less unadvisable than with a wriggley mixte.
