I am your 'fit' twin...actually, I am 5' 9" and 3/4 depending on the time
between hair cuts...my PBH is 85. I ride the 57 AHH. I am lucky enough to
live close to Riv, so I stood over both the 57 and 59 as I too measured to a
59.

Both work...but, having been 15 years on 'racing' (hahahah, I a NOT a racer,
but I had to have a racing bike...love marketing!) bikes that were no doubt
too small for me, I felt a tad more at home on the 57...honestly, if my 57
was stolen today, and I drove to Riv to replace, and they only had a 59 in
stock and built up, I would buy the 59...

I will admit, that sometimes, when I am really trying to analyze my riding
position, usually when I find myself bored on my commute, feel a touch
cramped in the cockpit...perhaps a cm or 2 longer when I am out on the hoods
would be nice when I am on a long gradual (kind of like this sentence) into
the wind climb...

Finally, if the cost of 'new' would preclude or delay you from owning a Riv,
then BY ALL MEANS, get the 59...because both sizes work, the deciding factor
should be, how quickly can you get a Riv under your butt...like I said
above, if my bike was stolen and only a 59 was on the shelf, ready to go, I
would get the 59 to get me back on the bike sooner...even if only day...

Anyway, hope this helps...let us know what you decided!
