Andy, Cotton Analogy thrives in wet 50’s and lower. We almost never get wet and warmer here, but wet 60’s is a bit warm when riding, wet 70’s is let the shirt get soaked and delight in the oddity of warm rain! Grin. With my fishnet baselayer, I just wear a cotton flannel over the fishnet to climb from 40’s down to 20’s, and the jacket goes on if it’s cloudy or windy at my contemplation stop (aka pipe and coffee). The whole trick with that system is moisture management, and the fisnet give you leway to get the insulative layer a bit damp without it freezing you when you stop.
