Carla, I've got a orange, 56 canti-Sam. I can use up to a 45 Smart Sam tire without fenders. They occasionally rubbed a double kickstand if I pedaled hard so I swapped it for a single and no problems. I still had clearance at the chainstays. With fenders I use the 38 Barlow Pass and 40 Mondial tires without problems. They all measure pretty close to size with calipers.
