'm using an 8 speed Logic with 10 cogs and 10 sp chain and it all shifts perfectly. I've used ancient Pro 5 Vis cranks with 9 cogs and I wouldn't hesitate to use them with 10. I'd be surprised if the Silver cranks can't work with 10 sp chain. Why does Rivendell say that?
