I only have tan (two pair shorts, one knickers) and have never had any bleeding or discoloration. The knickers fit perfect, but the shorts are a bit short. I wish there was a touch of lycra/spandex in them. Pockets are ok, that's what I carry my P&S camera in all the time. Never falls out unless I'm fumbling with it.
