Matt -- I own three Riv's and lots of other stuff purchased from them. The
only thing I'll NEVER buy again are the MUSA pants. Bad fit, pockets don't seal
shut, and if you buy the non-black color it stains from the sweat after the
first hard ride, and never goes away. In short, great bikes, bad clothing…

Look at Swobo knickers, Ibex, or elswhere.

Subject: [RBW] MUSA Shorts/Pants Sizing question

Hi,

First post in the group! I'm transitioning myself away from the lycra
clad army of cyclists here in San Diego as I never really liked them
in the first place. Most of my riding is commuting anyway, and the
more and more I've been riding the sillier the outfit has felt to me.
Finding the Rivendell site (and this group soon after) was comforting
in a way, because none of my friends that ride would even consider
wearing anything else. So it was nice to see another perspective on
cycling out there that makes more sense to me, in more ways than just
the clothes.. Man I'd love to get one of those A Homer Hilson bikes
someday, what a great design!

That said: The MUSA shorts and pants look like a great alternative,
and I'm trying to figure out the sizing before I order some. I'm a
tall guy 6'5" with about a 37.5" PBH and a 35 or so inch waist. It
looks like the inseam on the pants is a little longer if i get the XL
so that sounds good, but I'm at the bottom end of the waist range. For
the shorts, it seems like I'm somewhere between a L and XL but the
inseam looks to be the same on both.

Any advice on sizes? Thanks everyone!

Matt
