I know, I know it's not a fair comparison, but since Larry did it I'm interested in his findings :)

I'm thinking of RP's too, as well as JB's - though I'll doubt they'll fit (this is for a new-to-me '90 RB-1 I'm gathering parts for).

Larry, can you comment as to the ride quality and flat-ability
differences between the Ruffy Tuffy and the Cypress? I'm currently
considering between the two and haven't read any head-on comparisons
between em.

What a pair to compare! The Ruffy Tuffy is a belted tire with a thick
tread, meant to be flat-proof. I've used them for several thousand
miles, and I don't think I ever got a flat with one. As you know, those
things that make a tire flat-resistant also make it roll more slowly.

The GB is at the opposite end of the continuum. It flats easily on
small glass shards, but it's fast and has a wonderful ride. The tread
is much thinner, so it doesn't last as long, either.

The Rolly Poly would be a better tire to compare with the GB.
