After riding the Divide with 4 Panniers, a handlebar bag ( all Ortlieb) and a Little Joe saddle bag, arriving a few minutes earlier on a 60 m. day would not be a worthy reason to buy a new set of bags that were much less convenient for access. For me easy access is a huge plus..Though I pushed my bike up many hills, the panniers were not a huge impediment. Nor was I watching the clock. Steve Plymouth, NH
