that is a good idea! I would gladly join up

Well, if you're available on Friday I'm leading a ride from Jones Point Park in Alexandria to the National Arboretum, leaving Alexandria at 10:00 am. I expect we'll be at the Jefferson Memorial at around 10:45 am. If this Friday doesn't suit, I'll be leading a ride from Alexandria down to Freedom Plaza on Ride to Work Day, and a ride from Freedom Plaza to the Arboretum afterwards. These are Oxon Hill bike club rides, but RBW list members are welcome to join us.

I hear you about the TdF wannabes which normally don't bother me
when they speed on non-peak trail times. Just this weekend, when
it wasn't raining, I took the family out for a slow ride to the
park and it just blows me away when people pass without 1)
signaling and 2) at much higher speeds. Even when I decide to
ride my go fast bike on the trail I slow down significantly when
passing other riders, especially parents carrying or riding with
    kids, and pedestrians.

I think we need to organize a Riv ride this spring for all the
    local riders in the DMV.

Rainy day today at DC. Rained the whole day and night. Traffic
at the MUT was sparse and sporadic at best, both during the

lines from the TdF wannabes training on the MUT at full speed.
The zippies must have taken the bus to work. The light rain
made the peace and quiet even more enjoyable. Tomorrow's
weather is forecasted the same! Cant wait!
