Was wondering if anyone here has tried this kind of set up on one of Riv's more roadish bikes? I have a Soma San Marcos with the typical 2 chain rings and was kind of thinking of trying a 1X. I had a Surly Krampus with a 1X. If you do have this set up what are your components and do you like it? My area is flat to rolling hills mostly so I don't have to slay any mountains. I have most of my other bikes set up (even the Riv's) with an Alfine 8 so I don't think I would feel like I'm too limited with enough gearing options. Its attractive to me as I tend to prefer simple set ups in general - hence all the IGHs in the stable.
