I agree. I mentioned on another thread I don't use my butterscotch/olive 
green MUSA pants very often because of this. And every time I went for the 
black/black they were sold out. For a company that stresses riding in 
"regular" clothes, this detail is indeed inexplicable. We can get the 
concept that they have a gusset without making a color contrast, which is 
unflatteringly odd when spotted at the grocery store or the library or a 
garden party. I'm not overly fussy about my appearance but it kind of makes 
me feel like A.. Hey, there's my crotch, see? or B. I'm out in my weird 
pajamas. And I'm no mob boss

 I do have an older slate blue pair of MUSA shorts that has a dark blue 
gusset that is passable.
