Schraders should work just fine. I has been years since I used them myself, but I recall pulling the cores and cutting off the "return springs" on the core to make inflation a bit easier; this would also remove one more thing to be gummed up by the sealant. Perhaps modern Schrader valve cores no longer have the little springs?
The only downside may be as Dn P said having to use the same pump on 2 different sorts of valves.
