I was quite surprised to find after years of riding and struggling with hand issues that moving my saddle as far back as it would go AND using a longer stem (110mm) on a frame with a longer top-tube (60cm) resolved my hand issues as long as I keep my handlebar 5-7cm above saddle height. I think that particular angle is where my core muscles are best able to support my weight.
