That would tie in with my favorite "do" in 2009. Visited San Diego and participated in a SoCal Riv Ride. Actually, riding around San Diego was probably my high point for the year. Although it was not on a Rivendell bike. Had a great time finding ways around. Especially out to Mission Beach and the boardwalk.
Other accomplishments - did my first "mountain bike" ride since approximately 1990. Went on a 20 mile bike ride with my wife on our 20th anniversary. Added a new Rivendell to the stable (green Sam Hillborne). Got in three S24O trips. Did the most miserable (and my last) MN Ironman ride. This year, Ironcrotch. Also had a bunch of non-Riv accomplishments. Including treating my wife to her first trip to Disneyland and finally getting a custom made acoustic guitar. Am sure there are others, but that is what stands out.
