What is the correct thread pitch for the 4mm and 5mm taps for common bicycle threads???
I just want them to clean the threads, not do actual threading. I bought a 5mm tap with 0.8mm pitch (fine ). It will not thread into the dropout eyelets. Is the treading a 1.0mm pitch (coarse)?? If so, I will have to buy the 5mm x 1.0mmpitch. Also, bought a 4mm with 0.7mm pitch. Is this the correct pitch for 4mm threads??
