I'm another one that is using the same stem I used for my drop bars.  I 
went from fairly stretched out with drop bars to closer (and lower) with my 
albatross bars.  If I were going to raise the bars above saddle height, 
personally, I'd want a longer (but only slightly) stem.  Dialing in the fit 
after switching from drop bars took some experimentation. But I found the 
sweet spot...three bikes all set-up with albas.  In case it helps, I'm 
about 5'6", typically use 90mm stems, and ride 55/56 frames.
