Simple answer: I absolutely LOVE my Albastache bars.

Longer answer:
I rode Albatross for a couple of years but had great difficulty with a
forward position, especially on more technical descents, where brakes are
essential (the upright grip position is too wide and twitchy for me). I
then tried Moustache bars, but found their curved grip too far inward. Then
I tried the Albastache and they are baby bear "just right!"

Semi-upright position for cruising and, as you say climbing. Though I find
once a climb hits 7-8% grade I prefer the hoods as they put more weight
forward and thus reduce twitchy climbs (as well as the hands being more
inward, but not too much). Amazing balance for shifting weight forward and
back on rough terrain, allowing the bike to float, bounce, and jounce
beneath me while retaining solid contact with the pedals and handlebars.
Tricky trail descents are a delight for their control, brake access and
stunningly solid feel.

With abandon,
Patrick
