Forgot to mention:

While there are no station stops along the way to drop off/pick up 
passengers. It does stop a few times:

The train stops in South Carolina to swap engineers around 2:30 am I was 
told(?).
You can relieve your service dog there at that time.

They also stop to give right of way to any CSX trains, as CSX owns the 
railroad tracks, not Amtrak. So CSX gets priority. Also the commuter Amtrak 
trains get priority. That's what I was told, anyway.
