This is how I saw it. There is beauty in the economy of community! And there is no reason to make it an immediate thing. If I give a part to Bill and Bill doesn't have anything in his "still good but I don't use it" pile, he will someday. No need to raid the cookie jar, or pass on something he needs. He'll participate rightly when the time comes, and likely with added generosity.
I've experienced this happening in the group in quiet ways for the several years I've been here. I'd like to think I've lived up to my end. By the way, anyone hear from Jim our fearless leader recently? He's been quiet. You OK, Jim?
