I drive a similar distance every summer with my Betty Foy in a Hollywood tray rack. I did sustain some damage to the paint from where the rod pushes down on the top tube. I just didn't realize, and it is my fault. But, the trip DID shake my bolts loose on my racks. As I was unloading the bike, a bolt literally fell off and into my hand. I checked all the others - all loose. So, watch for that.
