Michael,

I installed Honjo fenders on my AHH and bolted the front of the front wheel
fender to my Mark's rack using a plastic adapter I had lying around (a
cilinder originally included in a TV mounting wall rack) about 1.5 cm long.
The Mark's rack doesn't have a proper fender mount, but I just used the tip
of the slot from the mounting bracket, which is designed to be used with
center mounted brakes, and just used a longer screw and nut with washers to
hold the fender firmly in place. It works beautifully and doesn't affect the
rack at all. According to the Rivendell instructions, you have to push the
rack as far back as it goes so the front of the bracket is exposed.

I can send you a detailed photo, but if you check out my AHH photos and
magnify them, you'll be able to see what I did in some of the photos:

To me, this is the ideal solution since it'll work with the rack and brakes
specially designed for the AHH. All you have to do is come up with the
spacer, or build it up yourself, just like you likely did for the rear
fender, to get it to bolt to the kickstand plate wihtout distorting the
fender line.
