Deac, I do find it necessary to make sure the nut is not spinning, either with the tool or wedging in a beefy screwdriver. At least in the rainy NW, grease is a must. I don't typically use a torque wrench but I do finish off with a long ratchet & allen head. At my age I can't rely on my own sense of strength. The sugino triple with the stupid hidden bolt make the process more complicated and over time I have tried to replace them.
