BenG - apologies those are RM14's not 13's... I have ridden a fair amount
with 46 and 48cm Noodles and really like them. I used the 46cm Noodles on
my Bob Jackson this week even. I find the RM14's setup the way they are on
the Bomba to force me into the drops more than I do when riding Noodles
(I've also ridden the Bomba w/ 48cm noodles). Not sure this is a good or
bad thing, there just isn't as much room up on top of the bars and riding
the hoods puts my hands in a pretty narrow (for me) configuration so it's
just more comfortable in the hooks.

So no it wasn't the levers, I could have just as effectively used them from
the hoods position, it was the width of the bars at the hooks as opposed to
the hoods/ramps. Also the weight further down on the front axle felt
better to me, more stable... though I don't know if that is a real thing or
just an unsubstantiated sensation. You can't go wrong w/ Noodles... if you
run across some RM13's or 14's it might be fun to try them out.

Philip - I'll have to look up Shaefers Farm... if any of the mid-atlantic
Riv-Riders wanted to get together for some singletrack I'd love to tag
along. I wouldn't feel comfortable leading anyone around on that kind of
ride as I'm so new to it but I'd love to see some Riv's out on the trail
and hang out.
