My 1988 Schwinn (Panasonci) Voyageur (vertical rear DOs) was prone to rear skewing.
Took it to LBS who had a alignment table (Shierk's, East Earl PA) and they ground the DOs to be parallel. Solved the problem. I'm assuming Panasonic did not get the DOs aligned correctly. Somewhat disappointed in vaulted Japanese quality, but it was late 80's. I bought it from original owner in 2010.
