I am surprised no one has linked to Riv's "Top Tube Ruse". https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzehUKAztnO8NDNkYWZiZTQtNjI1ZS00ZDU0LTgyNDUtNWFkNzk3YzRlNjI0/view
Basically tt length on its own doesn't tell the whole story - the place where your bum will be is also governed by seat tube angle, saddle height and other things (and other factors incl stem length, hbar type, head tube angle, hbar height govern hand position). You could have a bike with a short tt that still has you reaching too far. I also have a funny dimensions thing going on (6ft with 94cm pbh - i.e. shorter top half of the body than average which means I'd be reaching too far on a frame sized by pbh according to Riv fit principles) which makes me think it would be more appropriate to size by tt length but I always bear the top tube ruse article in mind. Not that I'm trying to throw spanners in the works here - as I said, just surprised no one else has brought this up. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
