I just had the same issue on my Hilsen. The guys at Riv recommended rotating the bearings like Patrick suggested (as did Bill Lindsay when I asked about it). Once the mechanic at the LBS got it apart the bearings were shot. I replaced the headset with a Tange on Tuesday.
