Incidentally, one of my theoretical design benchmarks or gauges or
touchstones is the Rivendell Atlantis. I'd have something built with road
bike tubing (bowing to the builder's recommendations for durability).

I see that the model with a 57 cm top tube is the 56 cm, which comes with
26" tires. Would it be possible, do you think, to build something with
similar handling (I am assuming that this Riv model keeps the signature Riv
handling of stability and "unjerky" turn in) but with a 58 cm c-c st and
room for 65s with fenders? What would you have to give up to get this? I
can accept TCO, for example, and don't mind an upjutter stem or sloping tt.

Or would I be better off with smaller wheels?
