I've got a Legolas, which has a higher BB than the typical Riv. It's a great handling bike on the road, even on the long twisty descents near RBW. I would say that BB height is only one factor in how a bike handles, and one shouldn't put too much emphasis on a single factor. Like Steve said, "if it suits you, ride it".
