I forgot to add: I highly recommend Chuck Schmidt's Velo Retro musettes. They handle loads up to 5 lb, but squish down to 2" X 2" X 1" and fit into small wedges or your pocket. I carry one in the wedge of each of my 3 bikes, for "emergency" loads or overloads.
