Toss all your valuables into a small stuff sack or something and take them with you. The SaddleSack Large has a detachable outer pocket to do just that.
That said…I avoid locking my bike if at all possible. If you want to keep your love…keep your love in your arms or between your legs. I take my bike into the grocery store and use it as a shopping cart. Never had anyone complain.
