"Pros" and the wannabes have been the largest chorus of naysayers despite increasing scientific data collected supporting the use of wider tires. I have my own data and I am not some sort of wheel goods fashionista provoked into riding what all the cool kids are riding. I've been squeezing all I could fit into my road bike frames since my '92 RB-1, the first bike that I could easily fit 28s and have room for more.
