I don't do much cleaning. I use full fenders and it seems to help keep things very clean if I use a mud flap. I have been using Boeshield liquid. It is a very clean burn, but seems like my bikes feel slow and pedals seem harder to turn the first ride the next day after re-lubing. Maybe the overload of wax gums things up until it breaks in? I may switch back to Chain-L No.5 and see how it goes when I change the chains.
*Regular regimen:* I just lube when the drivetrain gets noisy, and I get the grunge off of the jockey wheels at that time by hand wiping with towel. Sometimes I wipe the chainrings and cassette, too. *Rainy rides:* After rain, I spin the wheels and bounce the bike a few times to get the excess water off. Then I wipe dry and lube the exposed cables. Then I lube the pivot points. *Snow weather/salty roadway rides:* I hose off wheels and lower frame. Lube chain and pivot points and exposed cables. Wipe off salty grunge that accumulates from braking (?) around brake area (sometimes). -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
