Thanks, Ron. Apart from being dark anodized, they'd do well as wider,
heavier duty rims on the Riv errand bike: I could scavenge the remaining 32
hole Suns and put them on the gofast.

My brother, Peter, peripatetic and parts scavenger without peer, said he
might be able to find me some NOS or good used RM 17s or Mavic 217s or
231s. Or the ne plus ultra: the Bontrager cutdowns of the MA2!

I know, I know, I'm affecting a somewhat superior, dismissive attitude.
It's just that, with 559 rims, you can have a 400 gram rim in 32 that is
strong enough for loaded touring, if you can find old stock. The new ones
with brake tracks are all pigs.

Real weight of the 559 Sun M14As: 370 grams, and bullet proof with that.
