I think Patrick did the right thing. And I bristle at the idea that a cyclist 
should have to change his or her route or schedule to make sure that they 
aren't in school zones at the "wrong" time, or on Main Street when the shift 
ends. That is why there are traffic laws. One of my more shameful moments on 
the bike was in a school zone when a car passing me aggressively swerved to 
intentionally get close to me. He misjudged my ability to catch him at the next 
stop. Our exchange (or rather my diatribe) was extremely unpleasant as there 
had been a cyclist death earlier that week and I, shall we say, colorfully 
explained to him the possible consequences of his stupid driving. I try to 
maintain my composure, and am usually successful, but not always. Aggressive 
drivers suck!
