Its hard to say what has happened as others have suggested. I say give
him a chance to respond and chalk up any losses to gaining wisdom. He
could be in jail, the hospital, on holiday, dead, shipped out in the
military, deathly ill, homeless, jobless, computerless, working away
from home etc. If he is truly a scoundrel then he'll eventually reap
what he sows.
