@ Bob -- Thanks. You know, the timing couldn't have worked out more
blessed. I got to life life to the fullest, then symptoms set in the next
day at 6am. I waited till later in the morning to go to the ER, waiting to
see if and how it progressed. I didn't even have a fever till aftr I got to
the ER. They did their high contrast gut scans scan (two hours waiting for
the tasty drink to work its way to the intestinal photo booth), then within
an hour of those results I was in the OR.

@ Peter -- have you seen my photos? Grin.

Most of what I can ride (because it is remote and quiet and unscented
enough for me to ride) qualifies as strenuous. And while I'm always happy
to push the envelope, I also am more conservative than I used to be in
terms of where I draw the line between "as fast as I can and as slow as I
must." Grin. There is 1 mile I'd classify as easy, then one 8 mile route
that is moderate and another that is upper moderate that is 10 miles RT. I
don't expect I'll be able to exceed those till November. Then we'll see how
many rides I can squeeze in! Grin.

With abandon,
Patrick
