That Berthouds are more apt to dent than Honjos arguably supports that
Berthouds are more rigid and thus less apt to vibrate.  Dents happen
when the metal gives rather than the structure as a whole.  The Honjos
may well have survived the impact prettier because they vibrated out
of the way.
