I did just that and have regretted it. Here's why. If I am riding rough trails I use a real offroad bike. By real I mean a bike that will take 2.4 to 3.0 inch tires, like a Karate Monkey, Pugsley, or Salsa Ala Carte. I don't mean boingy boingy. The AllRounder most often gets ridden on pavement and dirt roads that don't need the crotch clearance. The extra seatpost and EXTRA quill don't look good to my eye, still to this day.
