Sweet sweet setup! To your question I did try out one end of your spectrum, I'm around a 90pbh and lucked into a used 64cm Atlantis locally which I rode enthusiastically for about 6 months before deciding it was to big. The final straw in that decision was putting on fat rubber and realizing that I'd never be able to comfortably take advantage of the fat-tire-ability of that excellent frame given its size. The 64cm Atlanti w/ '45mm Nomad's which measured closer to 42 for me was pretty good for daily riding but I'm much happier with my smaller bike. I'm thrilled with the fit of my 60cm Saluki (650B).
