I find this idea interesting. I for one welcome innovation of all kinds. What's good for cycling in any way is good for cycling in general. Sure, these ideas may not appeal to the Riv crowd, but the Riv crowd is relatively tiny compared to the whole . So ideas like this are gonna happen sooner and/or later.
Taste is such a personal thing, so much so that it is useless to critic another's taste.
