Thanks for the tidbits. I'm still weighing the pros and cons of bringing 
the Rambouillet vs. bringing the Cross Check. Variety of reasons; 
versatility, gearing and componentry, tires, prospective emotional response 
to sustained airline misdoings or to theft, fitting the bike into a bike 
box, etc, etc.

I would certainly like to do some of everything! I just need to pedal as 
fast as I can from thing to thing, right?
