I rode regular Hetres on lots of dirt and gravel, and never got a flat 
(except once after walking my bike through some thorny bramble, but it 
wasn't gravel).

Then I switched to the extralights and noticed a large sidewall nick after 
the third gravel ride.

Then I switched to the Compass Babyshoe Pass extralights and have ridden 
them on at least 500 miles of gravel so far, with no issues, even when 
bombing down a gravel stretch at 40mph.

And for what it's worth, the Babyshoe Pass E-L's are a supremely fast and 
smooth riding tire.
