I was saving and considering the options when I was educated first hand in 
the tunnels of Riv Rally East '12. My lights were a joke in comparison 
which was OK for infrequent night riding with my Rambouillet. 

Hunter-gatherer product awareness and solidifying preferences lead me to a 
SON Deluxe and a B&M Luxos B. I use them every day on my commuter with no 
regret of price or extending my use battery lights knowing what I had 
coming together. I picked the SON for the format option that allowed me to 
use it on both my commuter and Ram.
