Och! Well, Peter, you've goaded me into explaining more of how the brain overload works. Grin.
It really is amazing how were are engineered to survive things that harm us. In my case, my brain is overloaded by stimulation, giving me two choices: shut down 9and get help getting to a sanctuary to recover), or enter adrenaline and function better now for a massive price later. What we learned is that when traveling I was simply under constant adrenaline release, so I could function (sort of) but over a few days I rapidly declined as the adrenaline could no longer overcome the bran overload. Of course, the bigger the debt, the longer it takes to pay it back. So, with that knowledge, I will be avoiding being the star cabaret dancer by sticking to my highlands. Grin. I do owe you a greater thank you, however. Your initial response to me left me laughing heartily for a grand long time. Thank you! I needed that today, as I'm still recovering from the jackhammering from yet more flood mitigation (Hmmm. Maybe the meatpacking district wouldn't be so bad after all... Sardonic grin.)
